The “Spicy Pickle” we are referring to here is a chain of American restaurants. A very successful restaurant chain too. They specialize in PICKLE, and hence the name. We in Malaysia, especially our off-line customers, are already familiar with, having bought and tried, the many brands and recipes of the Hot and Spicy Pickles from India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka that we sell at our Spicemart. For a change, we thought, it would be nice to know how the other part of the world uses pickles. According to the Spicy Pickle restaurant company’s website, pickles originated in India about 4,000 years ago and the recipe was taken to Europe and from there to the rest of the world.
