Did you know that shopping is a stress buster for Malaysian women? According to a report last year by Synovate who did a study on Malaysian women, they found out that malaysian women considered shopping therapeutic. In other words, if a malaysian woman wishes to relieve stress, she should go shopping. That is all the more reason why we are encouraging malaysian women to lead stress free lives and also achieve financial independence by taking up retailing and starting their own retail business by opening a spicemart or wellness shop. Granted that going shopping and owning a shop are diametrically opposed activities, but if one is passionate about retail, like us, then the process of retailing itself could become a stress reliever. Anyway, it should be music to a malaysian retailers ears, especially to the owner-managed shops, to know that shopping has been acknowledged as therapeutic and a stress buster.
